I'm not giving Havana Cafe 5 tongues just because my best friend happens to own it! Actually I'm extremely happy that I love this place, otherwise that would put a really big strain on our relationship :-) And even though this place is 1 1/2 hours from where we live, we don't mind making the drive just to have fantastic food.
We got there at 4:30 pm and the place was packed. As always, the air was filled with bustling energy. We were immediately seated and our server (Michael) saw to our every need.
Havana Cafe has the best Cuban food I've ever had. The churrasco (skirt steak) was flavorful. The chuleta (pork chop) was tender and moist. It also had this thick sauce that went very well with the rice.
But the star of the show is always the dessert. And at Havana Cafe, they're always presented beautifully (as seen in the pictures). The flan is just the right amount of sweet. And the tiramisu had the perfect blend of espresso and sugar mixed in to create this moist cake.
This is not the first time I've been to Havana Cafe, but this is the first time I am writing a review. I wanted to make sure the food, service and presentation were consistent for each visit. And I'm happy to report that it is consistently so!
